Winter Break generates a huge response for digital education: Harjot Bains

Chandigarh: During the winter vacation, the Punjab School Education Department launched a digital mode of learning, which received a massive response.

Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced today that the department has begun online classes during the winter break in accordance with the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Government’s commitment to preparing students for a competitive world. He informed me that the initiative received a huge response from students all over the state.

Mr. Bains went on to say that the Punjab government had extended vacations due to the inclement weather. “During these vacations, the department has started online classes through various social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube from December 30, 2022, so that the learning process of students would remain constant. This step drew a huge response from both students and teachers. To date, more than 12 lakh students have attended classes delivered in digital format,” he added.

Mr. Bains stated that this move is intended to keep Board Class students up to date on their curriculum. He claimed that the move was a huge success, and that the gesture was greatly appreciated by the students’ parents.

Further, the Cabinet Minister stated that the department is organising daily online lectures in the morning and evening with the assistance of expert teachers.

It is worth noting that School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains personally monitors the preparation of board class students, ensuring higher grades for students.
