Virat Kohli reaches 9th position in ICC T20 rankings

Dubai: Former India captain Virat Kohli has gained five places in the ICC T20 rankings to move up to 9th position after scoring an unbeaten 82 off 53 balls in the ICC T20 World Cup against Pakistan.

Pakistan batsman Mohammad Rizwan continues to top the list of batsmen but is expected to face a tough challenge from New Zealand opener Devon Conway. Conway scored an unbeaten 92 against Australia in the T20 World Cup, after which he gained three places and has moved up to the second position.

Conway scored 92 runs in 58 balls against Australia. During this, he made shots in all parts of the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). New Zealand won this match by 89 runs.

Thanks to this innings, Conway surpassed India’s Suryakumar Yadav, Pakistan captain Babar Azam and veteran South African Aiden Markram to finish second.

New Zealand opener Finn Allen has also moved up the rankings. He has gained four places and has moved up from 17th to 13th.
