Punjab Police arrests member of Goldy Brar gang from Himachal Pradesh

Chandigarh: On Sunday, Punjab Police announced that it has detained a living member of the Goldy Brar gang in Himachal Pradesh’s Sundar Nagar.

Inderpreet Singh aka Parry, 32, is charged with numerous murder and attempted murder cases in Punjab and Haryana, according to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav. Chandigarh native Parry met Canadian mobster Goldy Brar and another gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, while he was in college in 2011. According to him, the arrested has a checkered background with more than a dozen murder and attempted murder cases filed against him in Punjab and Haryana.

According to authorities, the accused is suspected of participating in the deliberate death of Pardeep Singh, a Dera Sacha Sauda adherent, who was killed by six persons on November 10, 2022, outside his store in Kotkapura. Additionally, he took a direct involvement in Lawrence Bishnoi’s escape from police custody.

According to the DGP, police teams in Mohali located Parry in Himachal Pradesh after conducting thorough investigations and following up on available leads. They then nabbed him from a hotel with the assistance of local police.

The DGP explained Parry’s involvement in the targeted killing of Pardeep Singh, claiming that on November 7, 2022, Parry gave Rs 20,000 in cash to Harshveer Singh Bajwa on the orders of Goldy Brar and told him to deposit the money in the account of Manpreet Singh alias Manni, a suspect in Pardeep Singh’s murder. The Punjab Police have already detained Harshveer and Manni.
