Jalandhar: The walls near Jalandhar Shakti Peeth and Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar were scribbled with Pro-Khalistani slogans, according to the Punjab police. We’re checking CCTV footage to see who wrote the slogans, the police said.

The incident occurred just days before Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Jalandhar on Wednesday.

Both CMs are scheduled to visit Jalandhar on Wednesday at 1 pm to flag off a fleet of super deluxe buses from ISBT Jalandhar to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

On Saturday, AAP chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang stated that the AAP government has already taken numerous decisions to eliminate liquor, sand mafias, and drug supply in the state.

On Friday, Chief Minister Mann announced the launch of luxurious buses from Punjab to the Delhi airport.

Meanwhile, the Punjab police have asked residents of areas near the Jalandhar ISBT to surrender their licenced weapons on Wednesday.
