Guwahati: President Ram Nath Kovind arrived at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport here on Tuesday to take part in the closing program of Bodo Sahitya Sabha on May 4.
Governor of Assam Prof Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed the President in a traditional way.
Union Minister of State for Development of North-East Region BL Verma, Minister of Assam Government Ranjit Das, Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruwa and Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta were also present during the President’s arrival.
Bodoland Territorial Council organised the three-day Bodo Sahitya Sabha in Tamulpur district.
President will also participate in the closing ceremony of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra’s North-East Festival in Guwahati.
