Petrol, diesel prices stable, crude oil close to $85 per barrel

New Delhi: Crude oil prices continue to fluctuate in the international market. In the opening trade on the second day of the week, bread crude is trending up by more than 2 percent to $ 85 per barrel and WTI crude is trending up by one percent to $ 89 per barrel. However, public sector oil and gas marketing companies have not made any change in the price of petrol and diesel.

According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol remained at ₹ 96.72 and diesel at ₹ 89.62 per liter in the capital Delhi on Tuesday. Petrol price in Mumbai is ₹106.31 and diesel is ₹94.27 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata costs ₹106.03 and diesel costs ₹92.76 per litre. Similarly, petrol is being sold at ₹102.63 and diesel at ₹94.24 per liter in Chennai.

It is noteworthy that in the international market, on the second day of the week, Brent crude is trending at $ 84.41 per barrel with a rise of $ 1.22, or 1.27 percent, in the early trade. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is also trading at the level of $ 78.06 per barrel with an increase of $ 0.82, or 1.08 percent. Despite this, the prices of petrol and diesel in the country have remained stable for more than four months.
