Pak PM Sharif visits China to discuss CPEC

Beijing: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached China on a two-day tour to strengthen the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Sharif is the first state chief to visit China after Xi Jinping becoming the President for the third time. During discussions with Jinping, an agreement on strengthening the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was signed. Issues relating the railway track between Karachi and Peshawar were also discussed. Sharif is hopeful of getting financial help for crisis-ridden ridden Pakistan.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor is an ambitious project of Jinping. It was started in the year 2013. The $50 billion project would extend reach of China into the Arabian Sea.
