Shahjahanpur: A Muslim man offered a portion of his property to the district administration so that a temple that was in the path of a national highway could be relocated there. The proposal to expand the Delhi-Lucknow NH-24 was halted at Kachiyani Kera village due to the temple. Realising this, Babu Ali donated one ‘bigha’ (0.65 hectare) of his land near the project to the administration so that the temple could be relocated, according to Additional District Magistrate (administration) Ramsevak Dwivedi.

Rashi Krishna, Deputy District Magistrate in Tilhar, stated that the legal formalities for transferring the land to the administration had been completed. She praised Ali for demonstrating Hindu-Muslim brotherhood by preserving Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb.
