Inaugural Ceremony of Kala Utsav 2024 to Feature Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as Guest of Honour

New Delhi: In a celebration of artistic talent and cultural diversity, the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, is set to grace the inaugural ceremony of Kala Utsav 2024 as the Guest of Honour. The event, organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), will take place from January 9 to January 12, 2024.

Accompanying Dharmendra Pradhan at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour will be the Minister of State for Education,  Annpurna Devi. Distinguished personalities including Secretary, School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Sanjay Kumar, and Director, NCERT, Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, will also be in attendance.

Kala Utsav 2024 promises a vibrant showcase of artistic expressions, featuring performances in 10 diverse art forms. The genres include Vocal Music – Classical, Vocal Music – Traditional Folk, Instrumental Music – Percussive, Instrumental Music – Melodic, Dance – Classical, Dance – Folk, Visual Arts (2-dimensional), Visual Arts (3-dimensional), Indigenous Toys and Games, and Drama (Solo acting).

Approximately 700 students hailing from 36 States and Union Territories, along with participants from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, are expected to exhibit their artistic prowess during the four-day event at the National Bal Bhavan and the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti in New Delhi.

Kala Utsav 2024 aims to foster creativity, showcase cultural heritage, and provide a platform for young talents to shine in the realm of arts and culture. The event is poised to be a melting pot of traditions, bringing together a rich tapestry of artistic expressions from across the nation.
