Rajouri: Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu division have been put on high alert on Friday keeping in view of possible terror threat. According to sources, at present 2-3 different terrorist groups are present in Rajouri-Poonch.
Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the activities of different terrorist groups are being monitored and efforts are being made to chase and nab them. According to sources, there is a high alert in the entire area.
Security has been beefed up at critical installations in the area. Police officials said, “2-3 different terror groups are on our radar in Pir Panjal. We are following them regularly and they will soon be caught or killed.
Poonch-Rajouri range DIG Haseeb Mughal said that the terrorists will be eliminated soon. He also asked people to share information about suspicious activities or objects with the security forces for quick action.
According to sources, a search operation is being conducted almost every day in Rajouri and Poonch districts under high alert.
