For the first time, a remote Anantnag village receives electricity

Anantnag: Locals claimed that up until this point, they had relied on conventional lighting techniques. For the first time now, electricity is available in the village.
Another stated that given the lit-up lamps, it appeared to be a dream. In order to convey their joy, they also danced.

According to representatives of the Electricity Development Department, the community now has electricity as a result of the high-tension network issue being resolved. He claimed that in order to supply the village with electricity, the department had to set up 95 poles for both high-tension and low-tension lines. A 63 KV transformer, according to the authority, has been installed for 60 homes.
