Chinese spy warship arrives in Sri Lanka

Colombo: Chinese spy warship Yuan Wang 5 docked at Hamantota dockyard in SriLanka on Tuesday morning.

The warship is equipped with ballistic missiles and satellite tracking system. The Sri Lankan government had opposed arrival of the ship, following Indian opposition to its entry into the region. Th arrival was delayed in absence of permission by the Lankan authorities. The ship was scheduled to arrive on August 11. The Sri Lankan government had urged China to revert back or delay the visit. The Lankan Government, finally has granted permission and allowed port access on Saturday. The ship is expected to be in Lankan dock upto August 22.
