BSF shoots down Pak dron, recovers 3 kg heroin

Chandigarh: The Border Security Force shot down a Pakistani drone along the India-Pakistan border. More than three kilos of heroin was bundled with the drone. Female commandos from BSF carried out this action. After this operation, BSF announced to honour the commandos.

According to the BSF, the movement of the drone was observed in BOP Darya Musa village Chaharpur under Ramdas sector of Amritsar. BSF women constables Preeti and Bhagyashree were on patrol at that time, both fired about 25 rounds. After the drone was stopped, the BSF searched the entire area, and China-made hexacopter drone was found in the fields in the early hours of Tuesday.

When BSF officials reached the spot and investigated, three packets of heroin were recovered. A consignment of 3.110 kg heroin has been recovered in all the three packets. The cost of which is estimated to be around ₹21 crore.
