Haridwar: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has created yet another milestone in its journey of business excellence under its Quality First campaign by winning a record number of prestigious CII-EXIM Bank Awards for Business Excellence.
BHEL is the first organization to receive CII-EXIM Bank’s first-ever Special Jury Commendation for adopting and enriching business excellence. The company’s Trichy, Haridwar, Bhopal and Hyderabad units have received the Platinum Award and Project Engineering Management, Electronics Division Bengaluru, Power sector Northern Region and Ranipet Divisions have received the Gold Plus Award.
The units/divisions received the awards in the presence of Dr Nalin Singhal, CMD, BHEL at the 30th CII Excellence Summit in Bengaluru. These awards are based on the excellence model of the internationally recognised European Foundation for Quality Management. Notably, BHEL was the first Public Sector Undertaking to receive the CII Exim Bank Award in the year 2006.
