Sadhguru described 15–18 inches of soil as the cream of the planet, but warned that in the last 40–50 years, we have lost 52 per cent of the topsoil, and that with the current level of the human footprint, it will take 13,000 years to create one inch of soil.

Earlier, Sadhguru presented the Soil Policy Handbook to Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray, who expressed his support for the Save Soil campaign.
