Supriya Sule criticized PM Modi: Prime Minister Modi has hurt our hearts by speaking against Maharashtra once again. Saying this, NCP MP Supriya Sule has targeted Prime Minister Modi.

Palghar: ‘The Prime Minister is not the Prime Minister of any one state but of the country. But Prime Minister Modi always speaks against the state of Maharashtra. This is unfortunate. ‘ Such a strong opinion was expressed by NCP MP Supriya Sule.

Supriya Sule was on a tour of the Palghar district today (April 28). He expressed this view while speaking at a press conference held at that time.

In yesterday’s meeting, it seemed that Prime Minister Modi would say something concrete about Corona. But without doing so, they pushed everything to the states. He hurt our feelings by speaking against Maharashtra once again. Saying this, Supriya Sule has criticized Prime Minister Modi.

Prime Minister Modi suddenly commented on the issue of petrol in the Corona review meeting held with the Chief Ministers of all the states. He also called on the states to reduce VAT, saying that many states, including Maharashtra, have not yet reduced VAT on petrol.

The Mavia government in Maharashtra, however, had responded directly to Prime Minister Modi by stating that the state tax on petrol-diesel is equal to the central government’s tax.

See exactly what Prime Minister Modi said on petrol-diesel rates:

‘The war situation that has arisen, has affected the supply chain. In such an environment the challenges are increasing day by day. This global crisis is bringing many challenges. In such a scenario, it is imperative to increase coordination between the Center and the states.

The central government cut excise duty in November to reduce the burden on the people. State governments were also asked to reduce VAT. Some states listened to the Center and consoled the people, but some did not.

The states of Maharashtra, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Jharkhand, and Tamil Nadu did not listen to the central government for one reason or another and continued to impose an additional burden on the citizens of those states. Now we should reduce VAT and give it to the citizens. ‘

PM Modi had said that due to the non-reduction of VAT by the above states, petrol and diesel prices in those states are currently higher than in other states.

See what was the response of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after this statement from Modi

The Prime Minister raised the issue of tax on petrol and diesel in a meeting on Kovid, alleging that the state government has kept the rates of petrol and diesel high. However, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray expressed his displeasure over the economic treatment being meted out to a state which has made the biggest contribution to the development of a country like Maharashtra. This needs to be clarified so that the citizens know the facts. ‘

‘Maharashtra gets 5.5 percent of central tax. Maharashtra’s share in total direct tax is 38.3 percent. Maharashtra collects the highest GST of 15% in the country. Combining both direct taxes and GST, Maharashtra is the number one state in the country. Even so, the state still owes about Rs 26,500 crore in GST arrears. That is what Uddhav Thackeray had said.

In Mumbai, the price of a liter of diesel is Rs 24.38 percent for the Center and Rs 22.37 per liter for the state. The petrol price is 31.58 paise per central tax and 32.55 paise per state tax. Therefore, it is not a fact that petrol and diesel have become more expensive due to the state. Saying this, the Chief Minister had directly told Prime Minister Modi.
