‘Oppenheimer’ Dominates BAFTA 2024 with Wins in Best Cinematography and Best Editing

London, UK – February 19, 2024: Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ is making waves at the 77th British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards ceremony, clinching top honors in multiple categories.

The film secured victories in ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Editing,’ along with accolades for ‘Best Original Score’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor (Male).’ Jennifer Lame received the award for Best Editing, while Robert Downey Jr. was recognized as Best Supporting Actor (Male) for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss, a member of the US Atomic Energy Commission, in ‘Oppenheimer.’ Hoyte van Hoytema’s exceptional cinematography also earned the film praise.

‘Oppenheimer’ garnered nominations in 13 categories, including best film, director, leading actor for Cillian Murphy, cinematography, editing, costume design, makeup and hair, original score, production design, and sound. The biopic delves into the life of Robert Oppenheimer, the renowned scientist behind the development of the atomic bomb. Despite facing stiff competition, including Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie,’ the film resonated with audiences and critics alike since its release last year.
