Minister Eknath Shinde is angry with the continuous neglect in Shiv Sena. He has not even picked up the call of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray since last evening. NCP Maharashtra President Jayant Patil meets Uddhav Thackeray in Matoshree amid political turmoil. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has canceled his Delhi tour.
Shinde was made the leader of the legislature party by Shiv Sena after the results of the 2019 elections were announced. He has been associated with the party since the time of Bal Thackeray. He was sidelined by Shiv Sena in the recent Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections in Maharashtra. Then they are hurt. If 13 MLAs revolt in Maharashtra, the government will fall. Uddhav Thackeray currently has the support of 153 MLAs in the state. 144 MLAs are needed to form the government as one seat is still vacant. If there is a split in Shiv Sena, some Congress MLAs may defect.
