Panaji: During the inaugural ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, disclosed proposals to establish a film city in the state under the jurisdiction of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG). Underlining the state’s dedicated efforts to emerge as a prominent film hub, Sawant outlined his vision for the upcoming film city project.

The current edition of the International Film Festival of India in Goa kicked off on November 20th and is set to run until November 28th. Dr. Sawant assured that the subsequent IFFI edition would witness substantial growth, underscoring the state’s unwavering commitment to fostering the expansion and promotion of the film industry.

The initiation of a film city is poised to elevate Goa’s standing as a noteworthy destination for film production and cultural gatherings, making substantial contributions to the state’s lively and diverse cultural panorama.
